Meet the Team
Misty Gray
Founder + Principal Designer
When contemplating the name of her design business, the term Grayscale resonated deeply with founder Misty Gray. Quite literally, it reflects her name—but more importantly, it encapsulates her design philosophy.
With nearly two decades of experience collaborating with clients, committees, design professionals, and builders, Misty understands the nuance required for a successful project. In the world of custom interiors, there is rarely a black-and-white solution. Instead, solutions are found in the gray—in the delicate balance of functionality, form, and aesthetics.
Armed with a BFA in Interior Design from the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University, Misty combines technical expertise in spatial design with a trained eye for exceptional detail and curated pieces.
Misty is also a proud mother of two young boys, finding inspiration in the rhythm of family life and the beauty of creating spaces that are both livable and elevated.

Associate Designer + Project Manager
Lily joined Grayscale Design in the Fall of 2022, bringing with her a fresh perspective and a strong foundation in interior design. A graduate of Endicott College, she earned her degree in Interior Architecture and gained early exposure to the design world through several formative internship experiences.Lily is passionate about creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional, that reflects the unique personality and needs of each client.
Originally from Scituate, MA, Lily draws ongoing inspiration from the coastal beauty and timeless charm of New England.

Laurel has a passion for residential architecture and a keen understanding of how to spatially arrange a home to create functional, beautiful environments that enhance everyday living. She believes thoughtful design has the power to elevate quality of life, and she approaches each project with that intention.Laurel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. In her role at Grayscale Design, she focuses on the visual representation of the design team’s work—producing high-quality renderings and detailed drawing sets tailored to each client's needs. Her work bridges concept and execution, helping bring design ideas to life through compelling visuals and precise documentation.
